The Scarpar has been specifically designed with the environment in mind. It utilizes a dual track drive system that distributes weight evenly across a broad spread of soft knobbies.
The Scarpar has a very large surface area for the size of the vehicle. Weighing in at under 65 lbs (29kgs) it is very light compared with other forms of off-road vehicles. The disproportionally large surface contact drive area allows the Scarpar to maintain positive traction in all conditions.
The benefits of positive traction are a reduction in trail soil erosion that can be caused by excess spinning of a vehicles rear wheel/s.
Coupled with the dual track drive the Scarpar design also includes a very large contact point radius, the equivalent of a 6 foot high wheel. The concept further allows the Scarpar to travel smoothly over a variety of terrain with less impact on a delicate environment beneath.
